Anybody up there?

One night, a man lost his footing near the edge of a cliff and fell over the side. As he plunged into the darkness, he reached out and grabbed a bush, which stopped his fall. There he hung. No one had seen him fall, and no one knew where he was. He was alone on the side of a cliff.

In the darkness, he cried out, “Lord, please hear me! Save me, and I will dedicate my life to You. Please, Lord, hear me!”

He heard nothing but the wind.

His arms were growing tired, and he knew he couldn’t hold on much longer. In desperation, he yelled, “Can anyone hear me? Is anybody up there? Help! Please, help!”

People Come Into Your Life For A Reason, A Season, Or A Lifetime

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.
When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person.
When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed.

Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time,
This person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.

Many comic book readers have grown into responsible adults who use their talents to make a difference in the world today. The pen truly is mightier than the sword, and comic writers can take real pride in their stories. Continue reading “Why Comics?” →

Why Do We Write?- For Whom?

William Shakespeare

One of the first things I ever read was a Superman comic book. I remember turning the pages and looking up to find that the afternoon had slipped away without my noticing. I was hooked. The way the art and the words worked together pulled me into another world, and I have never stopped reading since.

From comics, I graduated to novels. One of the first was Old Yeller by Fred Gipson. The bond between that boy and his dog came right off the page and into my heart. It was a simple story, yet in my young mind it was a masterpiece. Continue reading “Why Do We Write?- For Whom?” →
